Indonesia Ministry of Public Works Determines to Start Five Public-Private Partnership Infrastructural Projects
Last weekend, DjokoKirmanto, Minister of Indonesia Ministry of Public Works said that, next year, Ministry of Public Works would have 5 Public-Private Partnership Infrastructural Projects which are needed to invite bids from domestic and overseas investors. Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Company will bear the investment risk. In addition to this, Ministry of Public Works will strive for tax preference for the above five project from the Central Government.
These five Public-Private infrastructural projects are as follows: Umbulan Water Purification Project, and Four Express Way Projects (Medan- Kualanamu, Semarang- Surakarta, Surakarta- Ker-tosono, Cileunyi- Sumedang- Dawuan).
DjokoKirmanto points that, four of the above five infrastructure works have been approved. Taking the Semarang- Surakarta express way project for example, this project has acquired RP 1900 billions from the government, which is mainly used to pay for the land acquisition.
