What is sand maker?

Sand maker, also named sand making machine, or vertical shaft impact crusher, which plays an important role in sand making equipent and is one of the stone crushers in mining machinery. It has the function of fine crushing and rough grinding.

Structure of sand maker

As shown in the picture, sand maker including upper cover, cylinder, crushing cavity, impeller and rotor. This simple structure can easily be set up and repaired. This equipment has two types: rock-on-rock and rock-on-iron.

How does sand maker work?

Raw material falls down into feed hopper, then through ring, it is divided into two divisions by material-deviding plate. One enters into impellor through the center of material-deviding plate. The other falls down from outside of material-deviding plate. Material, which is thrown out by impellor at speed of 60-75m/s, hits material coming down from outside of material-deviding plate. Kinds of material are crushed by this way. The final products have the excellent shape, mainly the shape is cubic with small fraction of elongated flaky particle shape.
